C-IV
Mission
The
mission of Consortium IV (C-IV) is to provide a customer based,
fully integrated, on-line, user-friendly, interactive automated
system. The system is designed to help manage the increasing complexity
of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Medi-Cal, Food
Stamps and employment programs and assist county staff in their
efforts to achieve the outcomes and performance goals required
by the various programs.

Goals

Assist
staff to achieve the performance and outcomes required by welfare
reform, with a focus on "work first" and self-sufficiency.

Improve
the efficiency and quality of services provided to our customers,
our community and other stakeholders.

Enable
and enhance relationships with other agencies, community based
organizations and private industry.

Comply
with SAWS requirements in the California/Welfare and Institutions
Code.

Oversight
Agencies
Health
and Human Services Data Center (HHSDC) - State
agency responsible for the four SAWS Consortia, and for developing
the architecture that will tie the Consortia together.

agency to "serve, aid, and protect needy and vulnerable children
and adults in ways that strengthen and preserve families, encourage
personal responsibility, and foster independence."
Department
of Health Services (DHS) -
State
agency whose mission is to protect and improve the health of all
Californians.
