Will access
to different screens be flexible for outside
departments depending on changing needs? Yes, access is flexible
and depends on a user's security rights. The counties will make
the decision as to the amount of access outside departments have
to the C-IV System.

Who will
assign user security rights? Each county will
designate Security Administrators to assign security rights.

Exactly what
types of access will collaborators have to update
their data in C-IV? Collaborators may update their address,
phone number, email, fax number, and internet address. They may
also update their own contact people. Service collaborators will
have view or read access to their services and activities. One exception
to this rule is that service collaborators will be able to update
attendance records for customers. Employment collaborators will
be able to create and update their own job orders.

How will
Adult Services access C-IV? Adult Protective
Services (APS) will be a collaborator in the C-IV System, and therefore,
will be able to login to the system via the internet to update their
own information (for example, contact information, address, etc.).
However, they will not have access to any customer information.

Will there
still be a need for supervisor overrides
to make edit/changes to data input after it has been submitted?
The C-IV system will allow authorized users to edit information
after it has been entered and saved. Supervisor approval will be
required to make payments to vendors over a threshold amount that
is determined by each county.

Who
will have access to the system? Access
to the system will be divided into three groups. These groups, Agency
workers, Collaborators and General Public will each have a varying
level of access to information based on their role. The C-IV system
will be functional during normal business hours.

If
C-IV is going to be web-based, do we only need
a connection and a browser to go forward? Most
users will access the C-IV system through a Wide Area Network (WAN)
connection. The C-IV system is web-based, meaning users will only
need a browser, ID and password to access the system. However, the
C-IV system will only be available through the Internet to a limited
number of users due to the sensitive nature of the information gathered.

Does
C-IV have any sort of access restriction or tracking
to prevent a county employee from accessing his or her own public
assistance case or the case of another employee? No, acess
to C-IV is not limited by certain types of cases or specific cases.
A user's security profile controls which areas of the system's
functions they can perform. On many key pages, the system records
information on who last made updates.

Do
we capture within C-IV dates when fields in the user profile change?
The dates of all record updates are recorded.

Can
we see the old and new version of the user profile
information after each change? No. Staff record changes of
user profiles are not versioned.

Can
an employee ever have more than one user ID on the C-IV system?
No. Although there will be several types of users, an agency worker
will have one user ID in one county at a time. A user can have multiple worker IDs if they belong to multiple units.

Does
C-IV track which user authorized a benefit even
if the user ID changed? The worker who authorized the benefit
will be tied to the record. If the User ID changes, it can still
be traced to the user through staff records.
